Second Chance Program
The Second
Chance Program is designed to help those dog that find themselves in a situation that is harmful to the animal. Most
of these cases involve humans and the neglect or cruelty of the humans involved. These dogs have proven beyond doubt
that they deserve a second chance in life. This program gives them that chance; whether it means medical help, training, loving
care or just helping them out of a bad situation. However these dogs usually need extra medical help which is very costly
when you add it to the normal everyday expenses for a dog. These dogs need sponsors. The cost to TRC
for each dog is a staggering $400 per month, which does not include the standard medical treatment to prepare them for adoption!
Each dog needing sponsorship will have its section below which will be updated frequently by the behavioral manager. In the
end, these dogs will find the RIGHT forever home, and will benefit from professional experience along the way. Donations
for these dogs and for the program itself can be made to the organization via check, money order or though
PayPal. All dogs in this program are listed below.

This beautiful 8 month old Rottweiler
was shot in two places. During a family dispute between a husband and wife the wonderful Rott tried to defend the wife
from the husband even though he had a gun. A neighbor called the police, when they arrived the husband turned the gun
on Prince Charming and shot two times. The husband was arrested and Prince Charming found himself taken to the nearest
shelter. When the wife did not press charges on her husband he was released on a small bond. The wife called the
shelter and asked to have him PTS before the husband arrived. The shelter smuggled the dog out of the state to our rescue.

When I rushed him to the Vet it was discovered that
he had been shot in the lower leg and his private parts. After 6 hours of surgery the Vet was able to save the leg and
did reconstructive surgery on his private part. During a trip to the shelter, being placed in a van for a long 10 hour
drive, changing from the van to a truck, being probed and prodded by the Vet, undergoing a 6 hour surgery and now has
to lay still; This boy has not once growled, snapped or whined. Oh forgot he is also heartworm positive. THIS BOY IS
TRULY A PRINCE CHARMING! Please help his medical bill are astronomical.

We saved this sweet mommy and her seven puppies
right before the final hour. Aspen has a very sweet loving soul. She is a very good mommy even though she weighs at this
time only 40 pounds instead of 100.
She has given every ounce of her nutrition to her puppies, that she has guarded so strongly. She can barely stand but she keeps giving to her seven puppies. The puppies are only five weeks old and as chubby
as any puppy with a healthy mom.
Everyone has been wonderful! Aspen is starting
to look healthy by gaining 20 pounds. She will be going to the Vet next for spaying and then after her recovery, we will
start her heartworm treatments.
